James Bond Venice Locations
On my second trip to Venice I was keen to discover some James Bond locations that I had not managed to nail down first time around. This video below will give you some context. But this article will give you the exact locations plus some tips on where to eat, drink and shop. (I’ll add to this article over time).
So there was a laboratory
Below is the spot where Bond hands over the ‘lethal’ sample of toxins stolen from Drax’s laboratory to M. This can be found on the canal side of The Royal Opera House.
Teatro La Fenice is what you need to punch into Google maps.

Going back to an earlier scene (sorry these aren’t in order) the laboratory had famously disappeared when Bond investigates with M and Frederick Grey.
I was told that when Bond puts on his mask that was filmed in the corridors of the Doges Palace. The room where they find Draz can be found in Ca’ Rezzonico – Museo del Settecento Veneziano.
Alfie Bass Bridge
The Alfie Bass bridge (aka the smoking man) was a place I was keen to find. And we did! It’s called Ponte Foscarini and is immediately recognisable with the stone plinth at the base.
After we got photos of the bridge I told Anastasia to pop her clothes on and I’ll buy her an ice cream, so we had one at the Yoghurt Creperia Marie round the corner.
Like to keep abreast of things
We stayed at the Hotel Locanda Vivaldi. A family owned 4 star hotel in the heart of Venice. A unique terrace overlooking the lagoon, a private dock and few steps from Saint Mark’s Square! It’s from this terrace that you’ll be able to see Hotel Danieli where Dr Goodhead stays.

The Famous Wedding Bowl
The hotel was great for friendly service and had free boat trips to the Murano that we enjoyed. Again make sure to check out the YouTube video for what you can expect to find in Murano.
You can check out the real original Coppa Barovier at the Museo del Vetro. That’s the one Chang smashed through in the fight with Bond.
