Chadwick Boseman plays American Football star Vontae Mack, in Draft Day. It’s a solid nuts and bolts ‘field good’ movie and Kevin Costner who plays Sonny Weaver Jr. wears one grey check suit for 99% of the movie.
The Costume Designer for the film Frank L. Fleming, has given Costner a very functional yet business like suit. The lapels have hand stitched edges, the shoulders are padded and in varying lights it appears grey/blue rather than grey on grey.
The fancier suits, outerwear and accessories were saved for the characters more intent on showing their affluence. Characters such as Weaver’s boss Anthony Molina played by Frank, agent Chris Crawford played by Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and the aforementioned Vontae Mack.
The watch that Boseman wears is a Quartz Python Revolver Wrist Watch 357. Combs wears a Rolex Datejust with Diamonds on the dial and bezel.
You can also see Chadwick Boseman has a KnuckleCase for his phone. I’ve not seen these before but they have been around since the days of the iPhone 4. Prices are cheaper for the older phone and around 99 bucks for the latest models.
