We see Bond in deep water here, and not the kind he jokingly refers to in Skyfall just before M snuffs it. He has been poisoned and is relying on his fellow agents back in an Mi6 lab to save his bacon. They come through for him a pinch but the lead has come loose on his defibrillator. Panic not, Vesper is on hand to play bit-part sparky and zap him back to life.
As discussed by Director of Photography Philip Méheux on the Blu Ray commentary,
Most of this theoretically possible all though is there is some doubt whether a small device will have enough power to do what it is supposed to do. We had a lot of technical advice on this scene. These scenes are always tricky to shoot, people looking at computer screens is not terribly exciting. We had fluorescent tubes put in as part of the set and I decided to use that bluey-green colour you get from tubes to signify you’re in a different place. All the places, Dench’s office, the lab and the car should all have a slightly different look. Each one, so there is no confusion what you’re looking at it.
This scene is the whole reason you see him impregnated with that chip at the beginning of the film. And you’ll notice that once he (Bond) collapses, the camera becomes more static.

Paul Bhattacharjee was born on 4 May 1960 in Harrow, Middlesex, England, UK. He was an actor, known for Casino Royale (2006), The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2011) and Dirty Pretty Things (2002). He died on 12 July 2013 in Splash Point Cliffs, Seaford, East Sussex, England, UK. He committed suicide three days after being declared bankrupt.
He was last seen leaving the Royal Court theatre in London’s Sloane Square on Wednesday, July 10, where he had been due to appear in the play Talk Show, which began this week. His role in the play was recast. His body was found at Splash Point cliffs, Seaford, East Sussex, on July 12 and identified a day later.
