MIN 35

We start minute 35 with Bond and Demetrius in the middle of a game of cards, Bond has clearly got the upper hand by this point and Demetrius has been refused the additional buy in of 20k.

So Demetrius throws in a key ring into the table, of an Aston Martin DB9 some information here from Bond Lifestyle,

This handmade sterling silver Aston Martin DB9 Key ring was won by James Bond in a poker game against Alex Dimitrios in the movie Casino Royale (2006). Apparently Alex liked to use a modern DB9 keychain with his classic Aston Martin DB5.

The exclusive keychain made from 925 sterling silver and rhodium plated, is made by Anthony Holt, authorised and approved by Aston Martin. The keychain could be ordered at AnthonyHolt.com for £195 at the time of the film (and later for £300).

UPDATE 2021: Anthony Holt doesn’t seem to exist anymore, but sometimes you can find the DB9 keyring on eBay, for high prices.

Still going website looks good and up to date.

I love how Bond is letting him in here, doesn’t protest when he is refused to raise 20k. Instead holds back, lets the dealer umpire fairly, give him a chance to win his money back. He’s reeling him in, as if to say, I’ve got nothing. I’ll let you win this hand. And also, it’s patronising. It’s like he’s letting a little child try and win his sweets back in a game of marbles.

Oh and the valet ticket.

Matt talk to me about the clothes he is wearing in this scene. He gets handed a little note there at the end also, we assume from Le Chiffre. Imagine Roger saying, oh and the valet ticket. Craig doesn’t say it as a joke.
