Episode 78
This week on the There Will Be Bond Podcast Rob Smith and I discuss the minutes 93&94 of Casino Royale. Bond has picked up a knife from the dining table inside the foyer of the Casino and is giving chase to Le Chiffre. He is on the hunt, and is stopped on the staircase by a gentleman who introduces himself as Felix Leiter, Brother from Langley.

From the Blu Ray Commentary, Screenwriters Purvis and Wade say;
Leiter sees what Bond is going to do and knows that will blow the whole thing. He knows if he can keep Bond going in the game, he has got a chance of winning. In Casino Royale the book, Bond is bailed out of the blue by the Americans. This feels very fortuitous.
Phil Mayheux Director of Photography says;
We had to change the camera angles all the time for the card game otherwise people would get bored. So we switched to wide angle lenses.
