At this moment we’re allowing you to see Le Chiffre’s cards. You can’t see who else has a good hand. The ending denouement will end in these two characters. And here comes Le Chiffre you’ll see what he has. You as an audience member will know that he has a very good hand, very few hands that can beat this.
To do all these poker games they have to be accurate, the dealer has to deal them in order, the right amount of money has to be in front of them at all times, so a lot of planning went into all of this, we spent a whole day with the actors playing the game without any cameras, so all of us could see and the actors could see where all of us was in each of these scenes and you’ll notice the shots are getting tighter and tighter. –Philip Méheux Director of Photography
