Observations
‘Even when Out of Africa came out with Meryl Streep and Robert Redford, the costumes were created by Milena Canonero. Ralph Lauren created a whole collection inspired by the film. And also the science fiction film Avatar, when it came out, you could see references to the aesthetics of the film in many collections, including that of Jean Paul Gaultier. So there are references and ideas that can be taken from any period.’
