Throughout the history of cinema, we’ve seen a number of suave characters shine on the big screen. Played by iconic actors and brought to life further by some amazing costume designers and makeup artists, the various James Bonds and the likes of Cruella de Vil will always be remembered for their undeniable style. However, the gaming category of entertainment has experienced a similar cast of fashionable figures.

Much like the movie category, gaming is a huge area of entertainment. In fact, today, revenues are through the roof, and there are more gamers on the planet than we’ve ever known before. Alongside exploring some undisputed favourites right now like Metaphor: ReFantazio and DraftKings online games with a twist like Basketball Blackjack, gaming audiences everywhere have played some classic products filled with eye-catching characters that ooze style and sophistication.

So, without further ado, below we take a look at five of the most well-dressed gaming characters from over the years.

Bayonetta

When it comes to glamorous females in the gaming sphere, Bayonetta is right up there with the very best of them. The main character in this beloved action-adventure game from 2009, Bayonetta oozes confidence thanks to the extensive selection of impressive garments she has to choose from in her wardrobe. A character many cosplay fans dress up as at various gaming conventions and the like, Bayonetta’s designers clearly know good fashion when they see it.

Geralt of Rivia

A character gamers know and love thanks to the popularity of the series he’s associated with, Geralt of Rivia is prominently featured throughout The Witcher games, and it’s easy to see why as soon as you play them. Not only is he a formidable presence with powerful weapons at his disposal, but Geralt of Rivia’s masculine style is unmatched when compared to other similar characters. Not only do the items of clothing he wears make him an intimidating figure, but his hair is absolutely perfect for the genre in question.

Claire Redfield

If you’re a fan of the classic American style, then it’s hard to ignore memorable characters like Claire Redfield. With her big boots and leather jackets, she’s another influential female in the gaming sphere alongside the aforementioned Bayonetta. This much-loved character from Resident Evil is a tough cookie, with her bike persona being on show throughout this iconic Japanese horror series.

Dante

A prominent character from Devil May Cry, Dante might be a demon-slaying figure, but he looks the part while he’s killing them off. However, while we’ve seen a few versions of Dante, we’re talking about the replacement Dante that appears following a freak playground accident. The new and improved Dante didn’t disappoint, with a simple but highly impressive look helping him to stand out in the game. His military style boots were perfect, while the Union Jack emblazoned on his jacket’s sleeve gave him a rockstar-like look. Overall, Dante is extremely cool.

Agent 47

As seen in the games and the movies, Agent 47 from Hitman looks like a professional. His smooth suits and sharp all-around dress sense are similar to those of characters like James Bond, although his style tends to stay the same throughout the franchise, whereas 007 occasionally mixes up his dress sense in the movies. Offering minimalist precision and a clean style so many other game makers have tried and failed to match, Agent 47 is extremely smart.

Other stylish characters that deserve a mention include Zelda (Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom), Sam Porter Bridges (Death Stranding), Alyx Vance (Half-Life 2), Jack (Mass Effect 3), and Cate Archer (No One Lives Forever 2).
